This is a street portrait of two young women taken on the street at this year’s Gay Pride festival. It’s one of my most favourite images of the year so far.
So how can you shoot environment portrait photography?
Well our friend Ben Staley of Adventure and Art YouTube channel has a master class on how he go started.
What you need is a camera. What you don’t need is an expensive camera (although it’s nice to have one). You don’t need a lot of lenses or other gear.
Ben started taking portraits of people by taking them under a bridge (where the light was dramatic maybe even spooky) and he shot their portraits.
