There Is No Such Thing As Bad Light

A lot of photo walks take place during the brightest part of the day from 10am to mid afternoon. There’s an old saying that mid-day light is bad light that yield really boring images.

Is this true?

Sunrise and Sunset can result in very lovely dramatic images but is this all there is to photography?

Laura Valenti (YouTube page Light Atlas Creative) has a thoughtful video on why she walks with her camera during any hour of the day.

As she says she doesn’t want flashy landscapes but cozy landscapes. To find out what she mean take a short walk with Laura during this 20-minute contemplative video Come photograph with me.

BTW The Oakville Camera Club has several workshops on photography and on seeing and on making creative images. Check it out here if you live in the Greater Toronto Area.
