I don’t normally do any product reviews but this is special. It’s the Godox IT32 PRO.
So what’s special about this small flash unit that comes in a variety of different configurations depending on your camera manufacturer?
It’s the ability to be used as a direct flash on a hot shoe or to be separated into two separate pieces: there’s the flash that you can now handhold or mount on a stand plus the lower piece that remains on your camera’s hot shoe and becomes a wireless remote control.
Okay so that’s cool but what else?
There’s the price. This small versitile flash sells for around $130 (Cdn) on Amazon.
This means you can get a small direct flash unit that easily transforms itself into an off camera flash with a wireless remote controller.
This is not only a game-changer but unheard of in the world of photography. Usually flashes and remotes cost way more than this and don’t work as well.
For members of the Oakville Camera Club I’ll be conducting a flash workshop on Sunday, February 22 with information -again for members – on the club’s website. And, yes I’ll be bringing several Godox flashes and controllers.
