How To Shoot A Festival

Imagine seven-miilion people showing up for one event. That’s the life of Manila street photographer Kyle Francisco every January when he shoots The Feast of Jesus Nazareno.

An accomplished photographer Francisco shares his thoughts and techniques in this another Paulie B video “Proof That I Was Here“.

Not a run-and-go shooter Francisco says he “works the frame” and his images features the life on the busy streets of Manila. He never directs his subjects and doesn’t like when subjects are smiling.

He calls his form of shooting “street drama”.
