There’s a photo walk this weekend (Sat. March 28) with The Toronto Film Shooters group. (And this photo is actually of The Oakville Camera Club’s Outings group shooting last week in downtown Oakville.)
Everyone is welcome to bring a film camera with them and join us for coffee at 9 am with the walk starting at 10 and ending a couple of hours later at a bar and restaurant for lunch.
Not only is this a great way to practice your street photography but the Toronto Film Walk group is made up of very new photographers and some experienced photographers and few very seasoned photographers LOL.
If you’ve never shot street photography with a film camera this is your chance. I’ll be bringing a 2 1/4″ twin lens Rolleicord and Marion will be bringing her late mom’s Olympus Trip 35. As we are starting a Graination on Spadina just north of Queen you can buy your film there and later they will develop it for you.
Or if you’re shooting black and white like I do you can buy small developing tanks and reels and chemicals at Burlington Camera or any number of other stores in Toronto or even online.
If you’re not sure what you’d shoot on a walk have a look at the most recent YouTube video by Paulie B as he interviews (while walking) with Austin Garcia as he shoots around his own home town.
