Brooklyn photographer Ryan Riley is a self-taught street photographer who has something to share with us.
He’s a young man with a purpose to document his people in their neighbourhood. His work is exceptional and in this Paulie B Walkie Talkie episode 81 video you get to walk along with these two excellent shooters.
One of the biggest advantages of watching these videos are all of the references with photos to other photographers that motivated and inspired Riley.
What does it take to shoot street in less than gentrified neighbourhoods like Crown Heights in New York City? Riley says it’s important to be tactical and street smart.
He says his work is really just all about himself.
