Deep Raw Editing With DXO Photolab 9.6

Let’s start out by my saying I am not a micro-editing fan. I have some deep suspicion about whether this level of photo editing actually adds anything to the art of photograpy.

But, like most things in life, I could be wrong.

If you’re interested in editing the heck out of your raw images and you’re using Lightroom then you might want to consider joining The Oakville Camera Club where one of our expert mentors offers a free weekly online workshop.

But if you’re a DXO Photolab user then Rob Trek, a DXO ambassador, has a two-hour plus online workshop where he demonstrates the power of Photolab 9.6 using images sent in by viewers to his YouTube channel.

If you’re new to editing raw files the raw editors like Lightroom and DXO Photolab can seem overwhelming in their complexity. Watching videos like Rob Trek’s or joining a club that offers lots of learning opportunities like the Oakville Camera Club can make your entry into raw editing a lot easier.

If you’re not a fan of getting the image right in camera (and yes I know Ansel Adams did extensive editing of his black and white photos) but want to erk out every ounce of detail from your images then these photo editors might be just the thing you need next.
